I am interested in blurring the borders between public and performer. In Flexor, a system of interconnected rolling boards engages the audience in a physical dialogue, oscillating between controlling and being controlled. While moving in, participants collaborate with each other. The experience of this space-situation is both a struggle and a pleasure. In trying Flexor, proprioceptive qualities (perception of space in motion) are triggered in the public, requiring that bodily intelligence overcomes intellectual dominance.
